Friday Smiles in The Office

Just wanted to reflect on my week with you. Its been full of ups and downs from a Nurses having to go to QMC Hospital due to a needle being put incorrectly disposed of, to celebrating Rachel’s 40th Birthday at West Notts College Refine Restaurant. The students studying NVQ’s in Catering prepare and service the food. It was a themed Thai evening, the restaurant was busy and the food was fantastic.

We have been focusing on new business contracts this week and pleased to have quite a few potential leads which always puts a smile on our faces. As we have loyal Carers that rely on us for their weekly income we aim to drive the business, sometimes we hit brick walls and other times we see light at the end of the tunnel.

Have you had anything that has put a SMILE on your face. I would love to hear your story.

Ben Bradley visit’s our office.

What a lovely catch up with Ben Bradley.

We have had our local MP Ben Bradley pop into our office this morning for a brew and a catch up. We explained to Ben what we did and how we going about sending relief cover out to the Hospitality and Care Sector. A few things that we spoke about was the Homeless, Jobless, Brexit, Frenbot and the famous Pot-holes with-in Mansfield.  We spoke about lots of things that is happening with-in our area. We spoke about what we here at Full Circle Employment Agency can do to help people get into work and are looking forward to working alongside Ben in a project in September.

  • Monday: 500 Mile – The Proclaimers
  • Tuesday: Please Don’t Let Me Go – Olly Murs
  • Wednesday: Something About You – Level 42
  • Thursday: Mr Blue Sky – ELO

So who wants to walk 500 miles ? Who’s the Olly Murs fan ? Who’s in the lift on Level 42 ? Who’s looking at Blue Sky ? And who want’s our next King to be Leon ?

A few facts about Easter.

  • You will be guaranteed to get stuck in traffic.
  • Easter is usually celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon, after the spring equinox.
  • But Easter is that most confusing of dates – one that is never fixed and changes according to the lunar calendar.
  • Your Children will have far to much Chocolate.
  • Chocolate Easter eggs became popular because Easter is the end of the Lenten fast.
  • Blame the Germans for the Easter bunny. Originally an ‘Easter hare’, a buck-toothed bringer of chocolate to the kids that have behaved themselves was first mentioned in German literature in 1682.
  • Hot cross buns are also a traditional snack for this time of year. Eaten on Good Friday, they mark the end of Lent. The cross on the top represents the crucifixion of Christ and the spices inside remind Christians of the spices put on his body.

Happy Retirement Colin.

Well it’s 16 years ago that the one and only Colin set up his wonderful business with Nadja. Today is the day that he hangs up his keyboard and mouse for the very last time. Well where do we start with Colin! There is never a dull moment when working with him. For anybody that has ever meet him or worked with / for him then you will never ever meet a more genuine person. Whether it’s his stories from his childhood, the trouble he got into with Bryan (his brother) or his latest Magically Mystery Tour when out on his motorbike (Thank goodness he’s stopped videoing the trips ! ! ). If you ever got into a conversation with him about Politics or MotorGp then you would simply be on it for hours. So THANK YOU Colin for bringing so much fun & laughter to our office and the place will not be the same without you. You are leaving a large hole not just in the office but our hearts.  Have fun in your retirement.
